Q. What are your Iron Products made from?
A.  Our Gates, as well as Interior Furniture are made out of steel, unless you would like copper, brass, wood added to it.

Q.  Can we choose designs or ornaments for our gates or iron products?
A.  Yes, feel free to send us pictures or drawings of what you like, and go to kingmetals.com to choose ornaments from their selection.

Q.  How can I choose the color or finish or my product?
A.  Go to our Samples Page and you will find different choices of powder-coating.

Q.  What is powder-coating and do I need it?
A.  Powder coating is a baked on plastic resin that lasts five times longer than standard paint.  All gates are priced with powder coating but you can order a gate unfinished an save about $350.

Q.  Should I get powder-coating if I live by the beach or in the snow?
A.  Powder coating will last about 5 years on the coast.  If you want longer lasting you can purchase hot dip galvanizing that holds up on the coast or in the snow for 25 yrs.

Q.  Can you build sliding gates?
A.  Yes, any of the gates we make can be designed to slide.

Q.  Can you install the gate for me?
A.  Yes, we would be glad to hand deliver any gate that you purchase. The price for hand delivery and installation will depend on the distance we will need to travel.

Q.  Can we install a gate ourselves?
A.  Yes, you can buy steel posts and we will weld adjustable hinges to the gate and post.  We can send a diagram on how to install it.

Q.  What do I do if I want to hire someone else to install it?
A.  Call around in your area for pricing. 

Q.  What do I need to do to keep my gate in good condition and working?
A.  You will need to grease the hinges every few months.

Q.  How much does shipping cost?
A.  Shipping costs vary due to the size of the product you order and the distance it must travel.  Once you’ve decided on an ornamental iron product from us we will contact you with shipping costs.

Q.  I am building a new home, can you work with interior designers
A.  Yes, we have experience in working with designers and would be glad to discuss the overall design style of your home or business with them.
